Did somebody say “ agnostic?” .......I used to be one.... Are you sure? How could you have known for sure? Exactly, But I would suggest finding out for sure, “He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.” 2 Thessalonians 1:8 That is plain English for agnostics. A lot of people think they know what “agnostic” means. A great many people are proud of saying, “I am an agnostic.” Well, agnostic means “know not” or “know nothing”; it is used of those who “know not God.” The ones that God will render vengeance to... agnostics. The most solemn duty that lies upon every man is to find out about God, and there is a way to know God. The trouble is many don’t want to know God. Any agnostic that wants to know God will soon get acquainted with Him. You can take that to the bank.

An agnostic is anyone who doesn't claim to know whether any gods exist or not. This is also an uncomplicated idea, but it may be as misunderstood as atheism.
One major problem is that atheism and agnosticism both deal with questions regarding the existence of gods. Whereas atheism involves what a person does or does not believe, agnosticism involves what a person does or does not know. Belief and knowledge are related but nevertheless separate issues.

A man is not an agnostic simply because he rejects certain religious dogmas which he finds unappealing or distasteful. Agnosticism is never so easy, so simple, nor so self-serving as that. Man doesn’t presently suffer so much from lack of belief as he does from belief in the wrong things, from reliance on gods that constantly betray him. The sickness of our society may well be chiefly nausea that result from swallowing too many things whole.
