Beautifully said. It is so true. Believers need to be willing to give up all for Jesus in order to make it into the Kingdom. No doubt about it. This is a hard message that is difficult for many to hear. The only point I would slightly differ is on in what you said is being initially saved by partaking of the Sinner's Prayer (i.e. Seeking forgiveness with Jesus) and believing the gospel message in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. I believe a person can be saved by God's grace by faith without works in their initial salvation, but after that point, they then need to continue in the faith (and that includes following our instructions from God within the faith in the pages of the New Testament. These instructions are the work of faith. For Hebrews 11:7 says by faith Noah prepared an ark to the saving of his house. Most Christians today have a hard time accepting even that (let alone counting the cost to give up all to follow Jesus). Welcome to the forum brother !!!

While I don't agree with everything Pastor Alan Ballou teaches or says, you may like his recent video here in regards to the topic of Faith:
For his view on Scripture appears to align with what you said in the OP.

According to my research: Lordship Salvation appeared to be slightly different before John MacAthur rebranded it. I say this because MacArthur teaches you can commit suicide and be saved, and he teaches you can take the mark of the beast and be saved, among other immoral “sin and still be saved” type statements he has made. So MacArthur version of Lordship Salvation is a Trojan horse. Believers cannot justify sin or think they can sin and still be saved all because they have a belief alone in Jesus as their Savior. That's the problem with many in Christianity today (Unfortunately).
My view of salvation actually falls under what is called by other Christians as: “Initial Salvation and Final Salvation.” Although I have a different label for them (Which is shown in my pictures bellow):Note: This of course is all by faith. For the just shall live by faith.
Anyways, Dan Corner appears to have published an article on “Initial Salvation and Final Salvation” back in January of 2001 (According to WayBackMachine).
www.evangelicaloutreach.org/initial.htm
The creator and author of MyGospel.info also is a believer in this teaching (taking the name possibly from Dan Corner). I emailed the creator of MyGospel.info and we had book length email discussions back and forth (with the Scriptures). Unfortunately, I did not agree with the author of MyGospel.info on many other things he believes and he comes off unloving and cold (unfortunately). He has an odd view on being born again (Seeing the born again experience as oddly happening after Initial Salvation), and he believes in the pre-existence of Christian saints (i.e. believers had a life in Heaven before coming to this Earth). Any disagreement with him on these or other points makes you to appear as if you are an enemy and you cannot understand spiritual things. So I have moved on from talking with him. So I would encourage in not having any email discussions with this author unless you believe exactly what he says on everything.

For a more detailed explanation, I see it like this: (Note: This is not Calvinism; I believe we have free will in our acceptance of Christ).

One “makes it into the Kingdom” by believing Paul’s Gospel That was Given to Him by Jesus personally....Simply BELIEVE that Jesus died for your sins and rise from the dead ) ...( 1Cor15:1-4 )......You are Teaching a False Gospel..... You confuse what a Believer “Should” do with what a Believer “ Must” do......We are SAVED by TRUSTING in the Shed Blood Of Jesus Plus NOTHING —— NOT by “giving up” our desires...REST in the Finished Work Of The Cross and you will find that God Works in us by CHANGING our desires.....

I remember you from the other forums, BloodBought. We have discussed this many times before using the Bible. I wish things were as easy as you say. I really do. But it simply is not the truth when we look at the whole counsel of God's Word.
You cannot in good conscience keep changing the Bible on many verses that appear to teach that we must obey as a part of the faith to enter the Kingdom.
Again, here are...Works For Salvation Verses (After We are Saved By God’s Grace):
- “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” (James 2:24).
- “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” (James 2:17).
- 10 “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” (Titus 1:10, and Titus 1:16).
- “And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.” (Luke 10:25-28).
- “And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” (John 5:29).
“For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.” (Romans 11:21-22). - “Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee ? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee ? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” (Matthew 25:34-46).
- “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1 John 3:10).
- “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7:24-27).
- “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” (John 15:5-6).
- “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” (1 Peter 4:18-19).
- “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” (Hebrews 12:14).
- “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (Matthew 3:10).
“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1 John 2:4). - “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing,…” (1 Timothy 6:3-4).
I say this not really for your benefit (because I believe you have seen these verses before), but I say them for those who may come across this thread looking for truth. I know that those who are truly seeking truth and they are desiring to believe the Bible plainly will accept what these above verses say plainly.
May God's love shine upon you today.

Bible Highlighter I would say that's that sensible way to look at lordship salvation rather than carry things to the extreme one way or the other. I see the unwillingness to accept lordship salvation stems from a lack of self-control. “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls” (Proverbs 25:28). In biblical times, a city’s walls were its chief means of defense. If the walls were breached, an invading army could pour into the city and conquer it. We recall from the account of the fall of Jericho that God caused its walls to collapse so that the army of Israel could easily move in and take the city (Joshua 6:1-5, 20). In the same way that a city without walls was vulnerable to an invading army, so a person without self-control is vulnerable to all kinds of temptations. Unfortunately, Solomon, who wrote those words in Proverbs 25:28, is a sad but striking demonstration of his own words. The Scriptures record that Solomon had seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines, all from nations concerning which the Lord had said to the people of Israel that they should not take wives (1 Kings 11:1-3). But Solomon gave free rein to his passions and totally disregarded God’s prohibition. As the wealthiest potentate of that era, Solomon had access to all he might desire. But instead of exercising self-control, he disregarded his own words of wisdom and let his passions run out of control. Solomon paid a heavy price for his lack of self-control. His wives turned his heart away from God. Because of that, God divided Solomon’s kingdom in the days of his son Rehoboam, and the Davidic dynasty was crippled from that time forward. By the way I know some friends of yours, "Circle" and "Underline". Sorry for my late reply. I am still getting used to this forum and it's notification system. I just discovered now the notifications feature and that others replied to me, etcetera.
As for Solomon: Yes, very true words. I agree. Well, said.
As for Circle and Underline:

I would never ‘ change “ the Bible about anything.....
Why do YOU change such simple and clear verses like “ this” one—— “ Anybody that Asks to be Saved WILL be Saved “...... I don’t care how many rules and stipulations and qualifications and “ ifs” that you add to that Promise...... Because of that Promise, the Onus or Responsibility to get one Saved after he ASKS to be Saved is on God’s Shoulders and NOT ours.......
If there is ANYTHING that you MUST Do—— If there is ANYTHING that you MUST NOT do in order to be Saved, it is up to God to live up to His Guarantee for Salvation “ to all of those that Believe” to see that these things either happen or do not happen..... To put it rather crudely , “ the monkey is on *HIS* back” to “ keep you Strong and present you as BLAMELESS on the Day Of The Lord”......You do YOUR part by Trusting Him and He will do HIS part and see that you get Saved....he will remove ANY and ALL obstacles that Religionists will try to put in the way.....

The Problem I see is that people are responding to a caricature of a position rather than fully grasping what the Lordship position is saying, based on their own presuppositions. They hear the Lordship position insisting on the necessity of good works and interprets this as making works a condition of salvation when that is not the case. We are able to perform good works because we are saved not in order to be saved. We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10) These are works done, not in our own strength and for our own benefit, but by the grace of God and in obedience to Him – led by the Holy Spirit, to God’s glory. “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith, but does not have works? Can faith save him? But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:14-26. “And purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” Titus 2:14. “In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works.” Titus 2:7. “To obey, to be ready for every good work.” Titus 3:1. “That those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works.” Titus 3:8. “And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful.” Titus 3:14. Keep in mind faith itself does not save. It is the object of faith, Jesus Christ, who saves. Lordship salvation is the evidence of a regenerate life.

No Lordship salvation does not exist, it`s the same thing as saying somebody isn`t saved. My thought is that somebody who accepts that label doesn`t understand what it is really saying. A saved person is blood bought and is the property of Jesus Christ.
