Some people really listen. Most of the time, they don't.
The issue isn't God giving Grace to some and not others under the same conditions. Grace is ALSO God's benevolence actively given in all things within society and our existence. All good and perfect gifts come from above. Those "things" imparted to humanity in good natural things from a supernatural source.
However, God gives Grace to the humble. There are also issues where we can not accept certain very real spiritual things WITHOUT first accepting other spiritual things that are required before. In other words, there are spiritual things that are predicated UPON other spiritual truths. Layer upon layer. Precept upon Precept. These "layers" form and create perspective. A proper perspective is essential to understanding the adult spiritual aspects of knowing and fellowshipping with God.
I said of all of that to say this.....
The idea that a natural man can't learn of God through the Grace given to all of humanity is preposterous. The level of information necessary to be "born again" is so insignificant it can never "add-up" or become "meaningful" in any context of "meaning" defined in any existence.
This life is all about naturally generating the perspective needed to KNOW GOD.
