I've said this many times in my life. The one phrase "The Good Pleasure of His Will" has used far too many times to justify such ungodly beliefs.
There is this narrative in modern Christianity, that God is selfish and only cares about His own pleasure...... Which is ridiculously false and leads to many false teachings....
The Scriptures declare
Rom 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

Good point and that is one of those sayings in Christendom that gets abused.

That door swings (at least) two ways.

That door swings (at least) two ways. 1. Not everything happens according to God's will. 2. Not everything that happens is good. 3. God does not take pleasure in everything that happens. Can you explain your "two way door"?
