I've never really heard anything in my life that even began to properly explain the concept of a "Tree of Life".........
I submit this proposal to you.....
Consider....
First....
Mat 13:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
Luk 13:18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
Luk 13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
The Tree of Life is the "Tree of Faith" mentioned in Mat 13 and Luke 13.....
What say you?

The Tree of Life was in the Garden of Eden. Both it and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil were both supernatural trees. Adam and Ever were created perfect and sinless and it seems they could eat of the Tree of Life when they were perfect. But once they sinned, the cherubim drove them out of the Garden for fear they might eat of the Tree of Life and stay a sinner forever. God took the Garden of Eden to heaven. Revelation does talk about the Tree of Life in heaven, but not the Good and Evil one. If it is in heaven, it is there as a test forever, but I don't know.
We will be able to eat of the Tree of Life again.
I saw an interesting post from a forum poster who said, the reason why he believes in instant death when thrown into the lake of fire is because they had no access to the tree of life.

The tree of Life is actually Grace in the garden of Eden.
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was Law in the garden of Eden.
Grace and Law were simultaneously created in the garden when man was put there.
They both still exist simultaneously... Grace to save saints and Law to condemn sinners and drive them to Grace.
In the OT garden, eating of the tree of life saved.
In the NT, obeying Acts 2:38 saves.

There is no garden of Eden in heaven, nor tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Only the tree of life is in heaven...for the healing of the nations(AKA, transplanted so you can live forever in your new body). Our new body will be able to eat and drink, (cause and effect in heaven). Just like he ate and drank with his disciples after his resurrection body was given, before he ascended. |

It is not written what happened to either tree, except the Tree of Life is in heaven. I just figured that the garden went with it, but didn't know. |
