there are two laws. one is of paradise before she fell and belongs to God and always has: His law of the spirit of Life (which He desires for us and asks us to return). the other law is the law of sin and death, of the current world (kosmou) (even cosmologically, for the fall caused corruption) and the nature of this world is that all does die. we are always under the rule of a deity! the concept of an ‘own will’ is a misnomer… we are ruled by God or we are ruled by the false satanic realm calling itself deity (in fact not deity but of demons) So basicaly we cannot be?? Born to never be ......

Just to change things up a bit ......
The law of the Lord is perfect converting the Soul?
Actually never mind ......
The lawless will say ...... see it could never be.
The lawfull, sure ...... the law never could save.
Maybe the Jew's went to far with the Law?
Extrapulations over extrapulations.
Jesus compalined of such ....... but did not deny the law.
No Jot or title will be removed ..... all will be fulfilled???
Paul skirted around this, saying we fulfill the law by, being not bing zombies; to fulfill the law.
Used to post on CARM's MJ forums back in the day. And this topic was a centerpiece.
Good discussion, but it never went anywhere.
i'm more of the ilk if we cannot be ....... what is the point. (no self righteousness in that; just a condensation).
Paul was not much help ....... calling every one to be dead for the fulfilment of the law.

We have been set free from the law of sin and death. And it's that old already but not yet. The kingdom of God has started as soon as Jesus came out of that Tome But it won't fully be here until he returns. His Eden reality and our return to Eden paradise soon. He's coming back, Come Jesus.

There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” (Revelation 21:4–5) The God who created heaven is the same God who created mountains for us to climb and ski, and oceans for us to surf and snorkel. He created us to love, to be skillful, to learn, to be curious, to enjoy relationship with each other and with him. He made us creative, adventurous, and unique. Our God has prepared a heaven better than earth in every single way. Every hope and expectation will be surpassed. Imagine the best things on earth: favorite smells, tastes, sights, hobbies, and places. Those are merely shadows of what heaven will be. Your dream job, your closest relationships, your ideal home—all of it pales compared to what God has in store for us! If your idea of heaven is floating on a cloud, playing a harp, and sitting around twiddling your thumbs for eternity, then get that idea out of your head. We will have a perfect relationship with God and one another. We won’t have anything to hide or be embarrassed about. We won’t be left out. We will do what we love as worship to God. Our lives and jobs will be meaningful. We won’t be less of what God created us to be here on earth, we will be more ourselves than we can ever be on earth. What we do throughout eternity will be meaningful, more than just lazing around.

Exactly! All of our questions will be answered when we get to heaven. In the meantime, we have the Bible. The Bible doesn’t address all our questions. We want specifics, but God has chosen to give us only general responses and, quite frequently, the statements appear in highly symbolic language. But the message of the heavens is in a language the whole world can understand. As explained by the Apostle Paul. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20 What images and ideas do you think about when you picture heaven? Here's what the Bible tells us. “There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.” John 14:2–3 That's our real home.

Revelation 21–22 berean-apologetics.boards.net/post/6085/threadI imagine the sons of Him will be very engaged
when we return to Eden paradise soon, working to Restore Eden, which was desolated by the fall...
and that of course should be a most wonderful job ...
I suppose the girls won't be making pies or anything, since we will not be tied to fleshbodies which need to eat.. although I might still like to eat some nice things, because being enjoyable..
mostly I plan to visit with the little ones and comfort them and help them
and watch them play and grow...
will be so so lovely
I feel so much pride for His sons , who will rule with Christ soon
in paradise

e v e e v e Michael S. Heiser Wrote This Book: Further Investigations into The Unseen Realm Sons and Daughters of God The Believer’s Identity, Calling, and Destiny Here's a short Excerpt from it. . It's pretty interesting stuff. I do believe we will eat in heaven because we're invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb. Revelation 19:6-9 God’s family didn’t begin with humans. Humans had to be grafted into it. Its beginning was divine. God Wants a Blended Family
Now, after the earth’s foundations were laid, God decided to do some other things. As we know the biblical story, God decided to create a human family on earth. That family was embodied; they were terrestrial. So we have two families that emerge in the biblical story pretty clearly, but the human family was preexisted by the divine family. Humans are going to as their destiny—at least their planned destiny—going to join this family. Heaven is going to come to earth in the form of Eden. God is going to be there. His own heavenly family, His entourage, is going to be there. Humans were created to join in with that group—sort of a blended family where humans would live among these divine beings. Because heaven has now come to earth, they are not separate domains, and that was the original intent. God, of course, is going to task humans with certain things, just like He tasks the members of His divine family with certain things. So the biblical story that emerges right from the beginning is that God is looking for a blended family—divine and human. Humans living in the divine presence was the intended norm. Of course, we know that that’s not the way the story goes, but keep in mind the idea of intended norm. Divine Family Becomes a Template
The divine family, therefore, is a precursor; it becomes a template for how we should think about how God looks at the rest of His family, which is us. So we’re going to learn about the divine sons of God in order to understand how the New Testament later talks about our own identity and our calling and our destiny. I have all of his books and followed him on Facebook for quite a while. He just recently went to be with the Lord.

I have 1 one his books. I think it's his first. I didn't know he passed away. Sorry to hear that.
GOD’S FAMILY The biblical answer is that the heavenly host was with God before creation. In fact, they witnessed it. What God says to Job in Job 38:4–7 is clear on that point:
4 “Where were you at my laying the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you possess understanding. 5 Who determined its measurement? Yes, you do know. Or who stretched the measuring line upon it? 6 On what were its bases sunk? Or who laid its cornerstone, 7 when the morning stars were singing together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
When God laid the foundations of the earth, the “sons of God” were there, shouting for joy. But who are the sons of God? Obviously, they aren’t humans. This is before the creation of the world. We might think of them as angels, but that wouldn’t be quite correct.
The unseen world has a hierarchy, something reflected in such terms as archangel versus angel. That hierarchy is sometimes difficult for us to discern in the Old Testament, since we aren’t accustomed to viewing the unseen world like a dynastic household (more on that following), as an Israelite would have processed certain terms used to describe the hierarchy. In the ancient Semitic world, sons of God (Hebrew: beney elohim) is a phrase used to identify divine beings with higher-level responsibilities or jurisdictions. The term angel (Hebrew: malʾak) describes an important but still lesser task: delivering messages.
In Job 38, the sons of God are referred to as “morning stars.” That same description is found outside the Bible in ancient texts from the biblical world. Ancient people thought the stars were living entities. Their reasoning was simple: Many stars moved. That was a sign of life to the ancient mind. Stars were the shining glory of living beings.
The stars also inhabited the divine realm—literally, in the sense that they existed off the earth. The ancients believed that divine beings lived far away from humans, in remote places where human habitation wasn’t possible. The most remote place of all was the sky, the heavens.
Morning stars are the stars one sees over the horizon just before the sun appears in the morning. They signal new life—a new day. The label works. It conveys the right thought. The original morning stars, the sons of God, saw the beginning of life as we know it—the creation of earth.
Right from the start, then, God has company—other divine beings, the sons of God. Most discussions of what’s around before creation omit the members of the heavenly host. That’s unfortunate, because God and the sons of God, the divine family, are the first pieces of the mosaic.1
