37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
THE CATCHING AWAY OF THE SAINTS 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
THE THIEF 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh....
DRUNKEN SERVANT
...49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;..
NOW CHECK THIS OUT
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord(QUOTING JESUS' WORDS), that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
THE CATCHING AWAY OF THE SAINTS
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
5 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
THE THIEF
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
THE DRUNKEN SERVANT
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

Some have said Paul had a personal revelation of the rapture.
Fact is, he was speaking for all the saints about the common knowledge of the rapture, via quoting Jesus rapture scenario, in sequence.

I was saying that Paul quoted Jesus per Matthew Don't know what your point is. There is a movement in eschatology that is saying that the "one taken, the other left" that Jesus spoke of was those that are taken are taken to hell, then those that are left are left to enjoy the earth. It is backwards from the old school teaching that they are taken to heaven in a rapture. The 2 passage comparisons are an amazing find. I found it in my Bible via prayer after being asked by a group to defend this position when a conference speaker spoke about how we have it all backwards to a couple thousand people. The whole place, preachers included were taken back by this new idea. Come to find out, eschatology teachers were quietly teaching this in Bible colleges already. They were saying the "one taken" of Matt 24 were taken to hell.

Luke 17: 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and DESTROYED them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife. 33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”
Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and TOOK them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be TAKEN and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be TOOK and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Luke 17:36-3736 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”
37 And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”
So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.”

There are multiple "takings" in the Bible. Some are taken by judgement and others are taken by God. Matt 25 is the Spirit filled 5 virgins taken and 5 non filled left. We will all be taken somewhere too. The context is that Paul was quoting Jesus in Matt 24, per 1 Thes 4-5. They both speak in this order...catching away...thief...drunken servant. This is not a coincidence, since Paul says "this we say by the word of the Lord".

When Luke uses the word that Matthew said was TOOK, Luke used DESTROYED. It couldn't be plainer. The ones who are LEFT, are left ALIVE! IF you don't believe there is a hell, then believe as the Preterists do.

So, you would rather go to a different book than the following chapter per Matt 25 where the 5 wise virgins were taken and the 5 foolish were left? You still don't see the exact same pattern of speaking between Paul and Jesus(#1 taken/#2 thief/#3 drunken servant)? Coincidence?

What is the meaning?
Here goes the theological concoction....

I just believe the doctrines out of the Bible, instead of wishful thinking.

"IF you don't believe there is a hell, then believe as the Preterists do".
FYI I am Truther, the preterists worse nightmare.
As a matter of fact, I take them out by proving with their Bible the Law is still in effect, which debunks their very foundation.
The rest of their beliefs topple like dominoes.
