Man chooses for himself to be in Christ or not, this is not something God randomly chooses for man making God culpable for the lost and a respecter of person . Gal 3:27 baptism is how gets into in Christ and those who choose to obey and be baptized will be 'in Christ' and those who choose not to be baptized will not be in Christ so each person is responsible and accountable for his own choices. Salvation is a free gift and cannot be earned or merit, but salvation is a CONDITIONAL free gift and one must meet and continue to meet the conditions God has placed upon His free gift. Belief is a condition that must be met to have eternal life therefore one must CONTINUE to believe to CONTINUE to have eternal life. Hence the conditional mood in Jn 3:16 as I discussed in a couple of posts earlier. You are mixing the physical with the spiritual. One cannot be physically unborn but one born again can spiritually die as the prodigal was "dead" (see also Jude 1:12 those twice dead; Heb 6:4-7). One cannot change his biological father but one's spiritual father can and does change as I discussed in a previous post. One is born again when he is water baptized. One cannot go back and undo his water baptism but, as pointed out, he can spiritually die. So it is not a matter of being spiritually 'unborn' but it is a matter of spiritually dying. Ok....well a cult has taught you that you're born again when you are water baptized, you have been lied to and are teaching a false gospel. You list things you think you can do but, without Jesus you cant do anything, all you can do is get yourself wet. There is a spiritual aspect to baptism you are not understanding, you do mention physical things but none of them save you Mathew 3:12 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire Water shows repentance but there is the spiritual that you don't mention. Baptism with the Holy Ghost, you can't do that, but.... "you must be born again" so yes you must be baptized to be saved, but baptized with the Holy Spirit You bring in the conditions and you want something at the end, what is it? But today is the day of salvation, God is our Salvation. You get eternal life the moment you get God inside you, as only God is immortal. And God said he would never leave us or forsake us, so you are arguing against his possession he brought with his own blood. It's not about following any of your conditions to get a prize at the end. It's about receiving and being joined to God spiritually. That's when you receive salvation, and it's through Jesus shedding his blood on a cross. And again you can't do that. You have things a bit backwards, we died through Sin (Adam), we are brought to life through the second Adam (Jesus), a Life Giving Spirit. And God said he wouldn't lose any and he will complete what he began Born of water refers to water baptism and the Bible makes it clear that water baptism saves for it is in water baptism that God does the work of removing the body of sins. No one today is baptized with the HS. Neither pronoun "you" in Matt 3:11 refers to anyone today. The fulfillment of John's words of Mt 3:11 as to whom Christ would baptize with the Holy Spirit is found in Acts 1:1-5 where Christ was speaking to His Apostles promising them baptism with the HS and not anyone today. Baptism with the HS was a prophecy of Joel that was fulfilled therefore ended, ceased some 2000 years ago. People today can claim they were baptized with the HS but cannot provide any Biblical proof. The Bible makes belief (Jn 8:24) repentance (Lk 13:3) confession (Mt 10:32-33) and baptism (Mk 16:16) living faithfully (Rev 2:10) conditions of being saved. Those who believe in eternal security cite verses OUT OF CONTEXT then read the idea of eternal security into the out of context verse while giving no proof.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Born of water refers to water baptism and the Bible makes it clear that water baptism saves for it is in water baptism that God does the work of removing the body of sins. No you put baptism in a verse that doesn't say baptism, John talks about baptism later in the chapter if you keep reading but you cant change insert your own word and use it to try contradict clear verses like Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. And without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins But the verse "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." you need to deal with the "and of Spirit or you cant enter the kingdom of God or you get below..... Your saying no-one can enter the kingdom today, but the born again are already in the kingdom because the kingdom of God is within you. Jesus said "Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." Transformed from darkness to light Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. See that Light, Jesus Is the Light The Bible makes belief (Jn 8:24) repentance (Lk 13:3) confession (Mt 10:32-33) and baptism (Mk 16:16) living faithfully (Rev 2:10) conditions of being saved. Those who believe in eternal security cite verses OUT OF CONTEXT then read the idea of eternal security into the out of context verse while giving no proof. Is eternal security in Gods promises? but how can you prove the faith of someone else? would you like the sign of Jonah? Those things you could call sanctification or discipleship or even Love Today is the day of salvation the gospel is how you are saved 1 Corinthians 15

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Keep reading Gomer. You cited a verse but then gave no proof to prove the verse says what you claim it says. The context of 1 Cor 12 is the church at Corinth was divided over spiritual gifts. In order to bring unity, Paul reminded them that the same one Spirit gave them gifts according to the will of the Spirit so there should be no envy or conceit over the various gifts. Paul in v13 uses the one Spirit to show the unity in how they all entered the body. Points to note: (1)Paul did not say 'baptized with water' but rather said 'baptized by ONE Spirit' for Paul's point was NOT to stress the element (water) but the agent (Spirit), to show they all equally met the same condition (water baptism) to be in the body as all were bestowed gifts by the same one Spirit....so there was unity among gifts and unity in entering the kingdom regardless of nationality and this was done by the same one Spirit. (2)Jn 3:5 there are two elements in the new birth, 1) Spirit 2) water and both elements are found in 1 Cor 12:13: Jn 3:5---------Spirit +++++++++++++ water >>>>>>>>> in the kingdom 1Cor12:13----Spirit +++++++++++++ baptized >>>>>>> in the body Since there is just one way to be saved, no alternatives, and the Bible does not contradict itself then both verses must express the same idea making it clear that water baptism is the type of baptism under consideration. (3) from 1 Cor 1, we read Paul and others water baptized the Corinthians, men cannot baptize with the HS. Water baptism in the name of Jesus has been commanded, with the command making it a necessity to enter the body thereby making water baptism the one baptism of Eph 4:5. No one ever was ever commanded to be "spirit baptized". (4)Paul in 1 Cor 12:13 shows the Spirit was the agent of baptism as Jesus is said to be the agent of baptism in Jn 4:1-2 " When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)" Note it says 'Jesus baptized' but Jesus did NOT personally baptized but He authorized the disciples to water baptize. Since Jesus authorized/commanded water baptism, then Jesus is said to be the agent when one is water baptized by a disciple. Likewise in 1 Cor 12:13, the Spirit like Jesus did not personally baptized those Corinthians but the Spirit inspired/authorized the Apostles to teach water baptism as the means to entering the body, hence when the disciples water baptized those Corinthians, the Spirit is said to be the agent. Note in Acts 8 the Spirit sent for Phillip to water baptize the eunuch. If 'spirit baptism' is the one baptism of Eph 4:5. Phillip was not necessary to be there for the Spirit could have baptized the eunuch Himself. Yet the eunuch was not spirit baptized but water baptized and saved by that water baptism. The Spirit was the agent in authorizing water baptism but it was a man, Phillip, that did the water baptism, hence it can be said the eunuch was baptized by the Spirit since the Spirit authorized it. (5)men have been commanded to be water baptized, so if I am not water baptized that is solely my fault, my culpability. Yet if 1 Cor 12:13 is Spirit baptism and I have not been 'spirit baptized', then my being unbaptized and lost outside the body of Christ cannot be my fault, but the fault and culpability of God/HS for failing to have baptized me with the Spirit. Furthermore, God/HS baptizing you with the spirit but not me makes God a respecter of persons when He is not (Acts 10:34-35). (6)baptism with the HS was a prophecy of Joel that God would pour out His spirit upon ALL FLESH. All flesh does not mean every single person universally but at the time of Joel, mankind was seen in 2 divisions, you were either a Jew or Gentile, hence Jew and Gentile made up "all flesh". In Acts 2 the Lord baptized the Apostles with the Spirit and the Apostles were Jews. In Acts 10 Cornelius was baptized with the HS and he was a Gentile. Hence all flesh, Jew and Gentile, had God's spirit poured upon them thereby fulfilling Joel's prophecy about baptism with the HS with fulfilled meaning to cease, bring to an end. So spirit baptism cannot be the one baptism of Eph 4:5.

There's "one baptism" in effect today (Eph 4:5), that being, Christ's baptism of the great commission that had humans/disciples administering water baptism for the remission of sins. Paul said he wasn't sent to water baptize so that one baptism today cant be water, Jesus said you must be born again Context matters here as it always matters. The context is those Corinthians were divided, rather than all following Christ they were following after the person who baptized them, 1 Cor 1:10-12. Therefore the reason Paul said he did not baptize (verb) was so that he would not create followers of him at Corinth..." I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name." Again, the REASON Paul said he was thankful he did not baptize (verb) was because he did not want to create Paulites, he did not want to create followers of himself. Paul NEVER said nor even remotely suggested that baptism (noun) is not necessary to salvation as being the reason why he did not baptize some at Corinth. In the great commission of Christ, all disciples including Paul have been commissioned/commanded to go, teach and baptize therefore Paul is not contradicting Christ in 1 Cor 1:14. And Christ's baptism of the great commission had disciples/humans as Paul and Phillip (Acts 8) water baptizing men. 1 Cor 6:11 " And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God." The verb 'washed' being in the middle voice shows the Corinthians submitted themselves to water baptism...'you had yourselves washed', how? By obeying the command of Christ in being water baptized. As Paul and others water baptized those Corinthians per Christ's great commission. Actually, Paul's rhetorical question in v13 PROVES the necessity of water baptism.

So spirit baptism cannot be the one baptism of Eph 4:5. I believe in water baptism. What I do not believe is that God placed my salvation in the hands of other men. God placed salvation in your own hands for you to choose to obey in being water baptized. From 1 Cor 1:21 " For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." Man's salvation is dependent upon the preaching of other men not by some miraculous event of the HS acting upon man separate and apart from the word and the word being taught, heard and obeyed......" How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" (Rom 10) One has to hear, be taught BEFORE one can call upon the name of the Lord and be saved. No faith apart from hearing the word of God (Rom 10:17) Philemon 1:19 Paul reminded Philemon that Philemon owed Paul his very self. Why? For it was Paul that brought the saving gospel to Philemon and without Paul preaching the gospel to Philemon, Philemon would be lost. Paul's preaching let Philemon out of the guilt and bondage of sin, hence Philemon needs to think about obliging Paul's request.... " Paul had doubtless been the means of the conversion of Philemon, and whatever hope he cherished of eternal life, was to be traced to his instrumentality. Paul says that this was equivalent to his owing himself to him. His very life - his eternal welfare - was to be traced to his labors. What he asked now of him was a small matter compared with this, and he seems to have supposed - what was probably true - that for this consideration, Philemon would not think of exacting of him what he had voluntarily obligated himself to obey." Albert Barnes
