How does talking to someone like this serve God in any meaningful way? I thought everybody here had nobler goals than remarks like this. Where`s the dialogue? I`ve thrown down the gaunlet for conversation with Modalists, Judaists, and now Catholicism and in each case my potential dialogue partner has been run off because of being talked to uncharitably. Run them off? That’s my goal! When it came to Legalists and Spreaders Of Leaven, It was Paul's clear verdict to “ Cast them Out!” ....He did not say be “ nicely-nice” to them.....he did not say to Beg them to see the Truth.....He never said to try to Persuade them—— In fact,Paul never even said to PRAY for them! He said to kick them out because he knew that “ A little Leaven leavenith the whole Batch! i Don’t have all that much in common with God—- I am way too flawed — but I got “ ONE” thing.....I HATE Leaven and SO DOES GOD......it destroyed many of the Churches that Paul founded , and it will destroy this place also if you don’t have the courage to confront it.... I don't have the power to “ Cast Out” Anybody in here like Paul would.....what I “ CAN” do is use Scripture to reveal Ignorance and have these “ Poor Students Of The Word” endure the Thing That God warned these types about....He said that they would “ Stand Ashamed” because of their Biblical Ignorance..... I just try to play my little part to hurry that process along...Its kinda like , “ If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the Kitchen”......Hopefully, Some “ Heat” in here will drive some from the Kitchen......You think that this does not sound very “ Jesus- Like?”.....Go Read the Scriptures—- The 100% “ Sweet and Lovable Jesus” is a Myth..... ” CAST OUT the Bondwoman ( the symbolic Legalist) and her son” . “Once saved, always saved". I don't get all hot under the collar if any Brother in Christ does not hold to my believe on this topic. When we spin our spiritual wheels then Satan is a happy camper. He has great joy every time we believe we aren’t saved. For a short while, I questioned my salvation. I learned later; a lot of people go through seasons where they do. I examined my heart and knew it belonged to God. How did I know that? He’s always on my mind. Turning to my Beloved is something I do routinely. The Holy Spirit tells me I’m His child. That settled the issue for me. The key I believe to holding on to your assurance of salvation Is to Abide in Jesus. Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me” (John 15:4). Have a constant abiding in Christ means to have a living relationship with Him. Gal. 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” By faith Paul was crucified at his conversion, crucified in the flesh, died to the old life with Christ. Now he lives, or rather, Christ lives in him. The old life is laid aside, and the new life is a Christlike life, due to the spirit of Christ. He is now merged in Christ. That means we must also be in daily connection with Jesus Christ and must live our life in Him... a living sacrifice. A saved person can get themselves into a lot of trouble here on earth. I don't know if the typical saved person is aware of that.

resurrection33No doubt about it, that's called Walking In the flesh or in darkness. Occasionally we all do that. It's in the Bible. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Walking in the Light …9If we confess our sins; He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us 1 John 1:9&10 Your Right... you have to be aware when you blow it so are you able to confess it then ask for forgiveness and be cleansed from all unrighteousness

Yeah Buddy...Every husband has experienced the frustration and embarrassment of offering to help his wife open a new jar or bottle only to find that for all his strength and good intentions, the top wouldn’t budge! With a look of defeat we grudgingly turn the project back over to our wives. On comes the hot water. And in a few seconds the seal is broken and the top comes right off. We slip back into the den, pretending like the whole event never took place.
Despite its potential threat to our masculinity, there is something comforting about hearing a seal pop open. It assures us that nothing inside the jar has been tampered with. We can be certain that the contents have been protected, regardless of where the container has been or who handled it last.
On a much grander scale, there is a seal assuring each believer that no one has tampered with his or her eternal security. Paul said it this way:
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
—Ephesians 1:13–14
I Hear That!

As a believer, you have been sealed. We know this to be true because in his second letter to the Corinthians Paul does not qualify in any way this statement:
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge. —2 Corinthians 1:21–22
As one writer put it,
Sealing belongs to believers only and to all believers. In 2 Corinthians 1:22 Paul makes no exceptions in writing to a group in which exceptions could easily be justified.
You have been sealed. The moment you trusted Christ as your Savior, God sealed you. In light of the varied uses of this term, several questions must be addressed. First of all, what is the nature of this seal? Are we sealed like a letter? Are we sealed like a tomb? Second, what is the purpose of our sealing? And third, how long are we sealed? Is there like an expiration date?
He paid the price for our sealing. His blood was shed on our behalf. Then, if that seal does not secure us in salvation what could we conclude about the price? What should we say then of God who made the promise? The power of the seal is based on the One Who seals, not upon those who are sealed. The security of the promise centers in the One Who promises, not upon those who receive the promise. It is the seal of God's holy Spirit, not of the weak human spirit. Then, if one is sealed in Christ he is secured against all violation and will be delivered safely to the laud of God's glory.

Yes indeed! We are sealed and only God can break the seal Revelation 5:1–3 AND I saw lying on the open hand of Him Who was seated on the throne a scroll (book) written within and on the back, closed and sealed with seven seals; [Isa. 29:11; Ezek. 2:9, 10; Dan. 12:4.] 2 And I saw a strong angel announcing in a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the scroll? And [who is entitled and deserves and is morally fit] to break its seals? 3 And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth [in the realm of the dead, Hades] was able to open the scroll or to take a [single] look at its contents. And the Scriptures clearly teach that He has already determined to leave the seal intact until our salvation is complete. How, then, could we possibly lose our salvation? To be unsaved would mean to remove the seal. Who could possibly do that? For those who maintain that salvation is not forever, this question poses an insurmountable obstacle. For those who believe otherwise, it leaves us with unquestionable certainty.

Just look upon the fact that there is, therefore, “now” no condemnation for us who are in Christ Jesus. That there should be no condemnation for us in the future when we are practically with Him, we can understand easily. But we must lay hold by faith on this great fact that God Himself, at this very moment, has no judgment against us whatsoever.
It is impossible for God Himself to find a flaw in the righteous position of any believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death. 3 For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice] Romans 8:1–3

Here is my “ False Gospel” for the entire world to see......it just “happens” to be identical to Paul’s —- Find it in 1Cor.15:1-4......My Gospel says that if you Believe that Jesus died for your Sins and if you Believe that God raised Him from the Dead, you will be Saved .....
Now.....what’s yours?
( Here’s a Friendly Warning for you—- Paul Sternly Warned in Gal 1:8 that if “ ANYBODY” —— even an Angel from Heaven! .....Yes, if Anybody came along preaching ANYTHING DIFFERENT from the Gospel That he preached ......” Let him be ACCURSED”......Using the Word “ Accursed” is just a nice way of not having to say “ God - Damned”...... the meaning is the same.... better be REAL careful with you answer here....it’s actually the difference between Heaven and Hell for you....and your cohorts...

Your’s is stunted, based on an isolated verse or two. God's is complete. We’re saved by faith, with a ‘righteousness that comes from God through and on the basis of faith’ Phil 3:9. And we know what righteousness is: it’s do right and not sin; if we don’t walk in that light then we don’t even know God 1 John 3. So: “To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.” Rom 2:7 “ For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.” Rom 2:13 “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life.” Rom 6:2 “Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” Rom 8:12-14 “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Heb 12:14 So...in union with God, a union Jesus came to establish, you can do these things. The basis of the new covenant is union with God-that's the primary difference between the old and new: "Apart from Me you can do nothing" John 15:5, but, "With God all things are possible" Matt 19:16. Now you have your fuller marching orders, at least the basics. And here's some Godly advice for you, which you should take to heart: Paul Sternly Warned in Gal 1:8 that if “ ANYBODY” —— even an Angel from Heaven! .....Yes, if Anybody came along preaching ANYTHING DIFFERENT from the Gospel That he preached ......” Let him be ACCURSED”......Using the Word “ Accursed” is just a nice way of not having to say “ God - Damned”...... the meaning is the same.... better be REAL careful with you answer here.... although I doubt God will send you to hell for ignorance, and I'm sure He's at least pleased with the faith you have, somewhat misinformed as it is, but hopefully He'll get you down off yer high horse at some point.

Culturally speaking, what Jesus described in the parable of the lost son was a worst-case scenario. The boy could not have been more disrespectful. He could not have been any more insensitive. And he certainly could not have been a greater embarrassment to the family. No one would have blamed the father if he had refused to allow the boy to join up as one of his hired men. The son didn’t deserve a second chance, and he knew it. He recognized how foolish it would be to return with the notion of being allowed back into the family. That was not even a consideration. In his mind, he had forfeited all rights to sonship. He was of the conviction that by abandoning his father and wasting his inheritance, he had relinquished his position in the family. His father, however, did not see things that way at all. In his mind, once a son, always a son. The father’s first emotion as he saw the son returning wasn’t anger. It wasn’t even disappointment. He felt compassion for him. Why? Because the young man was his son! The father said: “This son of mine was dead and has come to life again” (Luke 15:24). He did not say, “This was my son, and now he is my son again.” On the contrary, there is no hint that the relationship was ever broken, only the fellowship. By “dead” Jesus meant “separated.” That was clearly a figure of speech since the son did not physically die in the parable. Hi, You are correct in saying the son being "dead" did not refer to his physical state but it referred to his spiritual state. Being dead spiritually is being lost no matter if the father kept calling him "son" he was still lost. Isa 59:2 sin separates one from God and separation from God, as the son was separated from the father, is spiritually dead, it is being lost. How could the son remain "alive" while living in fornication? Especially when the Bible says those who commit sins of the flesh shall not inherit the kingdom of God with no exceptions being made (Gal 5:19ff)? If the son could live in fornication with the harlots yet still be saved, then that is in every sense being given a 'license to sin' i.e., cheap grace which is something that is generally denied by eternal securists. In the parable of the sheep, the sheep had the same owner throughout. The sheep had the same owner when it was in the fold and saved as it had the same owner when it became lost. Ownership never changed yet the sheep was still lost just as the father was still the father but that did not prevent the son from being lost, spiritually dead. What is meant by being alive 'AGAIN'? He was spiritually alive when he was with his father, separated from his father and spiritually died, repented and returned to his father to be spiritually alive AGAIN. What sense can be made of this if salvation cannot be lost? If I could look in the lexicons of those who support eternal security, do the terms "lost" and "saved" carry the identical meaning? Do the terms "alive" and "dead" carry the identical meaning? I am not familiar where the Bible makes a distinction between "relationship" and "fellowship". Where does the Bible teach the Christian can fall out of fellowship with God yet saved anyway? 1 Jn 1:6 those out of fellowship with God are those who walk in darkness. How can one who is out of fellowship and walking in darkness be saved while NOT WALKING IN THE LIGHT which is necessary to have all sins cleansed away by the blood of Christ, verse 7? Saved while not having sins cleansed away? Sins cleansed away is the definition of saved. Out of fellowship = walking in darkness = not having sins cleansed = lost. Again, in the lexicon of those who support eternal security, does walking in darkness carry the exact identical meaning as walking in light? Does lost carry the exact identical meaning as saved? Does dead carry the exact identical meaning as alive? ======================

This OP " Continual Continuity" Explains fellowship with God. God himself defines the standard of human morality and spirituality that is necessary in order to have fellowship with him, a state that John refers to as being “in the light.” Sin is the opposite and violation of that standard, which makes fellowship with God impossible and is described as walking “in darkness.” God sent his Son into history to die the atoning death that cleanses sin and restores fellowship with God, and so any claim that denies sin implicitly calls God a liar and is itself the essence of sin
